ICEX is a public entity dedicated to the internationalization of the Spanish economy and companies. Integrated into it is Interiors from Spain, promoter of the habitat industry in fairs and exhibitions worldwide, which needed a communication strategy that unites this line of actions.
Narita proposes the creation of the initiative Spain is in: Spain is in, it signs up and it is fashionable. Participation thus encompasses both graphics and communication, and is easily applicable to all graphic and promotional material personalized for each event, as well as content on social networks.

ICEX Spain Exportation and Investment is a public entity dedicated to the internationalization of the Spanish economy and companies. Its main task is to promote promotional programs and develop strategies that improve competitiveness, identifying needs and opportunities for consolidation in international markets. Integrated into this government agency is Interiors from Spain, promoter of the habitat industry at fairs and exhibitions worldwide. Through this division, the Spanish sector dedicated to interior design participates in multiple international activities, which encourage both the presence of manufacturers and designers in other regions, as well as the establishment of contacts and business relationships.
Since 2011, Narita has been collaborating with Interiors from Spain on an ad hoc basis in the graphic development of its participation in some of these international events, which individually had their own image depending on the nature and content of the project. In 2018, Narita was chosen through public bidding for the creation and implementation of a communication strategy for this line of actions. This is how Spain is in emerges, an initiative to communicate the presence of the Spanish habitat sector in multiple events and cities around the world in a more unified and profitable way.
The strategy proposed by Narita for Spain is in seeks to unify, both at a graphic and communication level, the dissemination of Interiors from Spain's participation in these events. The objective is to reinforce the image and identity of this line of action, but also to optimize resources through a graphic solution easily applicable to any of the actions included in the program. Under the motto “Spain is in”, Narita proposes that communication become articulated around an expressive claim that, in addition, has three interpretations: Spain is inside (literally, within the venue where the event takes place), Spain is in (to the event) and Spain is in fashion.
The graphic implementation ranges from the creation of a specific website for the dissemination of the activities that take place under the umbrella of Spain is in to the development of all the personalized graphic and promotional material for each event: cards, flyers, brochures, bags, posters, billboards, banners, pieces for publications on social networks and even the design of spaces or stands. The initiative culminates in 2020 with the creation of the international advertising campaign Spain is, linked to a promotional video about the values and notoriety of Spanish design in the world.
