The night of books: From event to festival
La Térmica is a cultural center managed by the Malaga Provincial Council that organizes multiple artistic activities with a marked contemporary character, literature among them.
The Night of Books began as an event and ended up becoming a new literary festival format, whose graphic identity has been entrusted by La Térmica in both stages to Narita.

Narita had been designing the graphic image and all the promotional supports for La Térmica for La Noche de los Libros, an event about literature that was held punctually in a single day. Its exceptional reception led La Térmica to convert it into an evolved and innovative literary festival format, whose image in 2019 had to communicate this change.
Taking as inspiration the novel “Fahrenheit 451” by Ray Bradbury, Narita proposed the name “Málaga 451” for the festival, generating a graphic proposal that, through fire in reference to the book's story, metaphorically represented the end of the event and the beginning of the new stage.
With a style reminiscent of the interwar graphic movements, Narita developed all the graphic supports necessary for the festival: from classic pieces such as posters, advertisements, flyers, hand programs, bookmarks, bags and other items of merchandising to digital applications such as pieces of motion graphics y banners. Likewise, the labeling and signage of the space for the festival was also entrusted to Narita.
