The client

Fantasizing about opening a bar, a restaurant or a club is something quite common among friends, which only a few end up putting into practice. Fantasizing about a place capable of offering all three is something that perhaps only a group of friends made up of the actors Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Álex González plus the footballers Marcos Llorente and Antoine Griezmann, who enlisted the two Michelin star chef Paco, could end up doing. Roncero, since the idea arose precisely in one of his restaurants. Together they have opened Rhudo, a unique gastronomic leisure and cocktail space in the center of Madrid.

The project

Both the menu and the design of Rhudo are characterized by a spirit of fusion at a gastronomic, cultural and conceptual level, since the establishment, in itself, is a combination of three types of environments: restaurant, lounge and club. Each one has its own personality, but everything as a whole, from the spaces to the gastronomic proposal, seeks to convey sophistication, innovation and exclusivity from a relaxed and casual experience. The mix of all these elements was what we had to convey with the brand.

Implantation

The brand of a project with such an exclusive character could not be built in any other way than through a unique and differential typography, which we designed in a completely personalized way so that it visually represented both Rhudo's innovative gastronomic leisure concept and the sophisticated and casual atmosphere of the place.

To do this, we immerse ourselves in their universe, with the aim of understanding the avant-garde that emanated from their cuisine and absorbing the energy of their spaces. This was how we managed to specify what their fundamental values were, as well as the experience they sought to offer and how they wanted their customers to perceive them through their brand.

The creation of the exclusive typography for this new brand was born from a deeply reflective process, in which each stroke, curve and white space had to become a visual vehicle of its essence. Each letter was meticulously sculpted to reflect Rhudo's fusion character, with elegant serifs but, at the same time, clean and contemporary lines with singular details, which seek to connect with that mentality open to the new experiences of its audience. A typography that is not a mere set of letters, but the visual representation of a culinary philosophy and a sophisticated avant-garde space.
